Modern Life is Rubbish是一部剧情片，一对最初因为喜爱音乐的男女Liam和Natalie走在一起，也因为音乐将两人分开。短片讲述男主人公Liam一心想当摇滚明星，家里摆满了他收集的CD，而Natalie却很现实，她觉得小小的ipod小巧方便又能储存大量音乐。他们各自坚持的截然不同的立场也将两人的关系越拉越远。
'Modern Life Is Rubbish' is a bitter-sweet, tender and heartfelt glance at a dying relationship. As wannabe rock-star Liam and down-to-earth Natalie complete the painful process of separating their CD collection, we see glimpses of what brought them together in the first place and...what is now tearing them apart. Through their shared love of music, and their different philosophical standpoints,we gradually chart the tragic/comic downfall of a once burning love whose flame may be about to extinguish, forever.
