生活与命运是一部剧情片，本片改编自作家格罗斯曼在苏联时期被禁的同名小说。20世纪40年代，人们深受二战时期著名的斯大林格勒战役影响。在这个时代里，原子弹被造了出来，古拉格集中营里的人们受尽折磨，犹太人区的居民生活窘迫……不管他们的生活变成什么样，不管他们的命运会是如何——他们的爱，永远都比战争和死亡强大。

This Russian series is based on the book of the same name, once considered a serious danger to the future of the Soviet Union. "Life and Fate" is an epic tale of World War II and a reckoning with dark forces emerging. It juxtaposes bedrooms and sniper's nests, science labs and the Gulag, taking us deep into the hearts and minds of citizens and soldiers struggling to cope with the ravages of war.
