亲亲俏奶妈是一部剧情,喜剧,爱情片，杰克（理查德·格兰特 Richard E. Grant 饰）和妻子萨拉（伊莫金·斯塔布斯 Imogen Stubbs 饰）正满怀期待的等待萨拉腹中小小的宝贝的降生。然而，在萨拉预产期到来的节骨眼上，杰克却遭遇了意外陷入了昏迷之中，当杰克醒来时，被告知萨拉因为难产而去世了，留给杰克的只有一个嗷嗷待哺的小婴儿。 　　深爱着妻子的杰克一下子陷入了绝望之中，他甚至都无法面对和照顾他的亲生女儿。然而，作为女儿唯一的监护人，杰克最终还是振作了起来，他将妻子的名字传承给了孩子以作纪念。一次偶然中，杰克在餐厅结识了名为艾米（萨曼莎·玛西丝 Samantha Mathis 饰）的服务员，艾米非常同情杰克的遭遇，于是主动来到他家，帮助他照顾婴儿。

Jack always lands on his feet. He lands on his feet when he marries the beautiful Sarah. He lands on his feet when he buys a luxurious new home. However, when Sarah goes into labour, he takes a tumble down the stairs and lands on his head. When he comes around he discovers he is the proud father of a baby girl, but deficient in the spouse department to the tune of 1. He hires the help of a novice nanny, but at the end of the day, it's Jack who's left holding the baby.
